Squirly Industries – eCommerce Package

Squirly Industries is a local apparel company focused on the extreme sports market. They provide custom graphic kits for dirtbikes along with a solid line of t-shirts and clothing.

This project required a database driven ecommerce package with expandability for a rapidly growing product line. We chose to go with a free open source set up that could be manipulated to meet their needs as well as managed with minimal web knowledge.

We then started with a 3D logo treatment to get the design rolling. Working in a 3D environment allows for lighting and perspective capabilities that are difficult to achieve in Photoshop. We opt to use 3D where ever possible. When you hear 3D don’t be so quick to think dollar signs, in most cases your logo and/or product can be brought to life and even animated in a very short period of time using today’s software.

The logo needs to be dynamic as it will often set the overall standard for the rest of the project. Squirly’s target market is centered around the young, edgy and competitive youth associated with motocross, skateboarding & bmx among other action sports venues. So our job was to accurately showcase their personality and product line while maintaining functionality and consistency.

The package we provide is a highly customizable, dynamic shopping cart that can support thousands of products. It has built in payment modules, shipping options and ssl integration. Or it can work well with a few products tied into a simple paypal express account.

This particular project also called for a clothing photo shoot along with some added photoshop treatment for the graphic kits.
